Buying primary capacity Fluxys-Open Grid Europe

Transactions made on capsquare follow the Initiator/Aggressor model:

• Fluxys and Open Grid Europe are always the Initiator and post the offer of primary capacity on capsquare.
• The price is fixed and based on the regulated tariffs applicable for Open Grid Europe and Fluxys.
• To buy part or all of the offered capacity, a market participant lifts the offer and becomes the Aggressor.

• By entering into a transaction for primary capacity on capsquare, a market participant buys primary capacity in accordance with the transmission agreements of Fluxys for capacity related to the Fluxys market and in accordance with the agreements of Open Grid Europe for capacity related to the Bundled Fluxys-OGE market.
• The buyer is to be invoiced by Fluxys and Open Grid Europe at the relevant regulated tariff.

• As soon as a transaction is concluded on capsquare, the details on the capacity sold are uploaded by Fluxys and Open Grid Europe for registration.
• The registration process with Fluxys and Open Grid Europe changes the transaction status on capsquare from ‘pending’ into ‘covered’, enabling the buyer to use his capacity through the applicable nomination process with Fluxys and Open Grid Europe.
